Heart Health

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States. The term heart disease refers to several types of heart conditions. The most common type is coronary artery disease, which can cause heart attack, angina, heart failure, and arrhythmia. Certain health conditions as well as some lifestyle factors can put people at a higher risk for developing heart disease. However, everyone can take steps to lower their risk. While some risk factors, such as family history, gender or age can’t be changed, you can help prevent heart disease by making healthy choices and managing any medical conditions you may have.
